Are AI leaders bad for humanity?

I was listening a podcast where one of the most influential persons in the world of AI was interviewed.

They talked about stuff like the origin of Earth, humanity, etc. and even the possibility of life in other planets.

What caught my attention is that it was all reduced to science or computation. Like everything was through the same prism lens, but a disturbing one. Things like saying we are biological systems capable of computation and love or communicating with audio to each other is kind of embarrassing. Of course not to mention that "AI is very simple mathematics". Yeah sure, that's why the first perceptrons came around the 50s and it's now when it has boomed because is so easy. Don't tell me it was a hardware problem only.

But going to the point, don't you think is dangerous for humanity to have leaders shaping the future of civilization without the philosophical point of view? Humanity problems cannot be solved only with science, we're humans and there are more corners, by looking at it only from one angle it's a dangerous path, even more when I feel animosity against your race.

What are your thoughts about this? Do you feel the same? Do you know an AI spearhead person with such a view? Please, let me know, I'd be keen to discover more amazing humans beings.
